Feature: Drag and Drop Between Actors

You can drag and drop added items between Actors. To do this, click and drag the drag icon (located at the far left of each item row) to another Actors sheet.

All items are copied to the destination Actor, except for items considered objects (such as melee weapons, ranged weapons, armor, and gear). These are instead transferred (moved) from the original Actor.

Note: Natural weapons are not considered objects — they are copied, not moved.

To perform a copy of an object item instead of moving it:

  • Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging the item.
  • Keep holding it until the item is dropped on the target Actor.
  • A copy icon will appear when hovering over the destination to confirm that it will be duplicated rather than moved.

Tip: If an object is removed from an Actor via a drop (without Ctrl), it will not remain in the original Actors inventory.

You must have Create permission on the destination Actor to copy or move an item between Actors. If successful, a message will be sent to the owner(s) of the receiving Actor inside Foundry.

Copying Connected Powers

If youre copying a Power that is connected to a “parent” item (like a Discipline), Foundry will attempt to link it properly in the new Actor.

For this to work:

  1. First, add the parent item (e.g., the Discipline) to the target Actor.
  2. Then, drag and drop the connected Power.
  3. If the system finds a matching name for the parent, the sub-Power will automatically be linked.
